Adaptogens are a powerful class of plant medicine. They support, nourish, and restore the depletion we experience as a result of moving through this world much too fast. We are constantly "on". Always working our way through the day while feeling the weight of stress, anxiety, fear and worry. Adaptogens build you up and push you through these times, all while letting those pressures fall away. Let the plants help you. They remember things that we have forgotten. In this class, you will get to know Schisandra, Rhodiola Rosea, Ashwaganda, Eleuthero, Tulsi, & Maca.
BIO of presenters:
Olga Tzogas created & operates Smugtown Mushrooms in Rochester NY. Her journey with Fungi and plants started over ten years ago. Working with these allies by foraging in both urban & more wild settings, and learning to identify for food and medicine. In 2011, Smugtown Mushrooms was established because there was a need for mushrooms& growing supplies, workshops, events & community based science in her area. While learning more and embracing the never-ending, unlocked potential mushrooms & fungi have to help heal both people, planet & soul. She teaches workshops throughout the continent about wild mushroom identification, medicinal mushrooms, biology, and mushroom cultivation.
