Mushroom Cultivation in Brooklyn, NY

EVENT DESCRIPTION
Mushroom cultivation, a Brooklyn Grange cult classic (get it?!), is back! Take a deep dive into the amazing world of mushrooms and fungi. In this workshop, we'll go through simple mushroom growing techniques that can be applied in many locations and environments. Learn who and what mushrooms are. Get a better understanding into the amazing world of mushrooms and Fungi. Learn to cultivate them for food and medicine, using free to readily accessible materials.

In the second half of the workshop we’ll make basic mushroom kits for you to take home. You’ll be amazed at how simple the process is and soon you’ll be on your way to growing delicious, healthy mushrooms of your own!

ABOUT SMUGTOWN MUSHROOMS
Class will be led by Olga Tzogas of Smugtown Mushrooms in Rochester, NY. Smugtown Mushrooms are providers of fine & diverse mushroom growing supplies for the East Coast cultivator. We grow mushrooms, both edible and medicinal varieties, plus offering the growing supplies for everyone to grow their own mushrooms. We welcome first time hobbyist and veteran mycologists! Let's grow mushrooms!
